HPMC is hydrophilic (water soluble), a biodegradable, and biocompatible polymer having a wide range of applications in drug delivery, dyes and paints,architecture, cosmetics, adhesives, coatings, agriculture, and textiles .

HPMC (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose)is water-soluble, non-ionic polymer that is commonly used as a thickener and water retention agent in a variety of applications (e.g., tile adhesives, wall putty, EIFS, etc.). Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) is water-soluble, non-ionic cellulose ether. It offers a variety of functional properties in mortar and personal care products. With excellent properties such as thickening, water retention, adhesion, dispersion, suspension, surface activity, and film formation, Mikem’s HPMC products are widely used in various construction fields, such as tile adhesives, grouts, EIFS, masonry mortars, repair mortars, waterproofing mortars, flooring compounds, skim coat/wall putty, gypsum-based materials, detergents, etc.
