What is plaster self-leveling? What are its characteristics?

1. What is gypsum self-leveling?

Gypsum self-leveling is the abbreviation of self-leveling ground leveling gypsum, also known as gypsum-based self-leveling mortar.

It is a kind of dry powder mortar specially used for ground leveling, which is carefully prepared and mixed uniformly in the factory by gypsum material, special aggregate cellulose (hpmc) retarder and various construction chemical additives.

2. The characteristics of gypsum self-leveling

a. High leveling accuracy

High fluidity, automatic leveling, and extremely high flatness provide more favorable conditions for the laying of various types of surface materials, thereby improving the building quality.

b. No cracking, no hollowing, thickness controllable

The shrinkage rate is less than 0.02%, and it can be poured at any thickness of 3~60mm at one time, and it can be achieved without cracking or hollowing, which greatly increases the scope of self-leveling adaptation.

c, high strength, no ash

According to different environmental requirements, it can be freely controlled between 15MPa and 60MPa, which improves the adaptability of the product.

d. Mechanized construction is possible, with high efficiency and shortened construction period

Mechanized pumping construction, the daily laying area can reach 800-1000 square meters, the product has high stability, and it can be walked by people in a short time, which greatly shortens the construction period.

e. Reduce costs and increase floor height

The low density can effectively reduce the building load, reduce the construction cost, and improve the earthquake resistance level of the building. The thickness of gypsum-based self-leveling can be as thin as 3mm, which can increase the floor height and improve the space utilization rate.

f. Good thermal insulation and sound insulation performance

Good thermal stability, used as “floor heating” backfill leveling, will not cause cracking, swelling and other phenomena due to thermal expansion and contraction. After hardening, it has a certain degree of elasticity and has a certain sound insulation effect.

g. Health and environmental protection

Breathable, can improve indoor microcirculation, adjust indoor air humidity, especially suitable for carpet laying, can keep carpet dry.
